Three pals in their early 20s have died after a horrific smash in Halifax. Thomas Reilly, Cass Bryant, and Corey Graham lost their lives when the Ford Fiesta they were in was slammed by a speeding BMW.
Four Arrested After Deadly Multi-Car Collision
West Yorkshire Police have arrested four suspects. A 37-year-old man and two women, aged 18 and 32 were nabbed at the scene. Following further inquiries, a 26-year-old Bradford man was also arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is now in custody.
The tragedy unfolded on Keighley Road, Illingworth, at the Cobblestones Drive junction just before 7pm on Wednesday, March 18. Police said a fourth vehicle was nearby but not involved in collisions. The road remains closed as investigations continue.
Victims and Investigation Details
- Cassius Bryant and Corey Graham, both 22, were confirmed dead at the scene alongside 21-year-old Thomas Reilly.
- Another 21-year-old man from the Fiesta is fighting for life in the hospital, described as critical but stable.
- BMW occupants arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death remain in police custody.
- A stationary Renault Clio was at the scene but unoccupied.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Sergeant Paul Lightowler said: “Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of the people who died. Specially trained officers will be supporting the families involved.
“This is a tragic incident and extensive enquiries are ongoing at the scene this morning.
“I would like to appeal to anyone who was travelling in the area yesterday evening who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
“We are also keen to see any dash-cam footage of the vehicles prior to the collision.”
