Car Crashes Into Building in Catford, Man Injured

A man was left injured after a car smashed into a building on Brookdale Road, Catford, this morning at around 10.40am. Emergency services including the Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service, and London Fire Brigade rushed to the scene to deal with the chaos.

Emergency Crews Respond Swiftly

On arrival, crews found one man hurt from the collision. He was treated quickly at the scene, with officials confirming his injuries aren’t life-threatening. Thanks to the rapid response, his condition was stabilised before being taken to hospital.

Road Closures and Police Investigation Underway

Brookdale Road was temporarily closed to traffic while responders worked, but has since reopened to motorists. Meanwhile, the Met Police have launched an investigation to uncover what caused the crash.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at about 10.40am on Monday, 8 April, to reports of a car that had collided with a building on Brookdale Road, SE6. Officers attended alongside colleagues from the London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade. One man received injuries and is receiving treatment. The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Enquiries around the circumstances continue.”

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has information to come forward and assist their inquiries.
