A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson confirmed:

“We responded to an incident on Stand Lane, Radcliffe around 2:15pm following reports of threats involving a bladed weapon. Those at the address managed to reach safety and called us. Our negotiators engaged with the suspect inside the property.”

“A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of making threats with a bladed article and remains in custody for questioning.”
