A Crawley man has been locked up after launching a shocking, unprovoked assault on a neighbour returning home from work.
Victim Attacked on Driveway
Dean Heron, 38, attacked the victim right on his driveway. The terrifying attack included Heron choking the man and pulling a knife from his waistband to intimidate him.
Neighbours Call Police, Heron Arrested
Neighbours sprang into action, ringing the police, who quickly arrested Heron. At the police interview, Heron confessed he was drunk during the rampage.
Jail Time for Violent Offender
At Lewes Crown Court on 10 April, Heron pleaded guilty to attempted grievous bodily harm, intentional strangulation, and possession of a knife in public. He was sentenced to three years and four months behind bars.
