12-Year-Old Boy Killed in Hit-and-Run Outside Loughton School

Tragedy struck outside a school in Loughton as a 12-year-old boy was fatally hit by a silver Ford KA in a hit-and-run.

Murder Investigation Underway

Police launched a murder probe after the collision just after 3.20pm on Monday, 2 December, on Wallingale Road.

The young boy was rushed to hospital but sadly died from his injuries. Several other pedestrians were hurt but none seriously.

Multiple Victims Treated

  • Two 15-year-old boys
  • One 13-year-old boy
  • One 16-year-old girl
  • One 53-year-old woman

All the teenagers attend Debden Park High School nearby.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Chief Inspector Rob Kirby of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate said:

“This has been a truly shocking incident and my deepest sympathies are with all those involved. “Thanks to the public who have stepped forward with information and those who gave vital medical help at the scene. “Anyone with dash cam footage or who saw anything on social media is urged to call 101 quoting incident number 726 of 2 December.”
