Chief Supt Urges Community Support to Tackle Violence

“This is another tragic and needless loss of a young life on the streets of London. My thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends,” said Chief Superintendent Roy Smith of the North West BCU.

“Our officers responded immediately, providing CPR and first aid at the scene. We will continue to use every tactic, including stop and search, which in recent days has removed deadly weapons from streets in north west London.

I urge communities to support our officers in preventing more families suffering such pain.

Local safer neighbourhood officers will patrol the area in the coming days. Please talk to them if you have any information or concerns.”
