Masked trio strike at 3am in Hillhead
Three men wearing face coverings broke into a home on Pilgrim’s Way, Hillhead, just after 3am on Tuesday. They attacked a 50-year-old woman before grabbing a safe, a mobile phone, and a Ford Ka.
Stolen car found abandoned nearby
The Ford Ka was later discovered abandoned near Hurst Close. The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Officers hunt suspects, urge witnesses to come forward
Detective Sergeant Darren Thomas said: “We are treating this as an isolated incident and don’t believe there’s a threat to the wider community.”
He added: “We’re conducting door-to-door enquiries and have increased patrols to reassure residents. Anyone who saw people or vehicles around the time of the attack should contact Eastern CID immediately.”
