Tragic Death in South-West London Hit-And-Run

Detectives are hunting witnesses after a fatal crash in south-west London left a pedestrian dead.

Mercedes Hits Man on Worple Road

Police rushed to Worple Road, SW20, at 1.45am on Friday, 18 November following reports of a collision. A Mercedes CLA struck a 37-year-old man on the pavement.

Despite desperate efforts by paramedics, the man died at the scene. His family have been informed and are receiving support.

Driver Arrested on Multiple Charges

The Mercedes driver stayed at the scene but has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Authorities also charge him with failing to provide a specimen and driving under the influence.

He is currently in police custody as detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) probe the tragedy.

Detectives Seek Witnesses and CCTV Footage

Officers want anyone who saw the crash or captured it on CCTV or dashcam to come forward immediately.
