Young Girl Bitten by Dog at Victoria Country Park
Police are hunting for witnesses after a 5-year-old girl was bitten by a dog at Victoria Country Park.
The Incident
At around 2:25pm on Saturday, November 26, the little girl was walking with her mother and their dog. They crossed paths with three dog walkers – two women and a man – who had two dogs with them.
The dogs were described as a black Cockapoo and a small, tan Chihuahua cross with a long coat.
When the dogs met, the Chihuahua cross bit the girl on the leg, leaving her in pain and with bruising.
Who Are The Dog Walkers?
The male dog owner is said to be in his 30s, with dark hair, average height, a larger build, and wearing a bright blue coat.
Police want to find the owner of the Chihuahua cross and are appealing for anyone who:
- Was at Victoria Country Park on November 26 and saw what happened
- Recognises the dog walkers or the dogs
- Is one of the dog walkers described
