Nearly 300 Cannabis Plants Busted in Folkestone Drug Raid

Police have uncovered a massive cannabis farm with almost 300 plants hidden in a Folkestone home. The Folkestone Community Policing Team (CPT) swooped on a property in Morehall Avenue, Cheriton, on the morning of Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

Four Rooms Packed with Growing Plants

The illegal stash was spread across four rooms, with plants at various growth stages. Officers seized the crop and tore down all the growing gear.

Robust Action Against Drug Crime

Sergeant Greg Pochin of Folkestone CPT said: “The warrant came after concerns about drug use in the area. We take a tough stance on drug crime and those behind it. We urge the public to report any suspicious activity.”

Enquiries into the cultivation are ongoing as police crack down hard on drug-related offences in the community.
