Teen Stabbed Four Times in Shocking Footpath Attack
A 14-year-old boy was brutally stabbed four times in the stomach after refusing to hand over his phone and wallet near Albany Road on Friday morning, 13 August 2021.
Attack on ‘The Trails’ Footpath
The teenager was walking along a local footpath known as ‘The Trails’ at around 11.30am when a stranger approached him, demanded his belongings, and stabbed him when he refused.
The attacker then fled the scene. The boy was rushed to a nearby hospital and has since been discharged.
Suspect Description Released
- White male, aged 40-45
- Approximately 5ft 10in, slim build
- Dark, curly shoulder-length hair with stubble
- Wearing dirty dark clothing
Police Appeal for Witnesses
“This incident happened on a footpath known locally as ‘The Trails’ and we are appealing for anybody who recognises the suspect from the image to contact us. We would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information that may assist the investigation.” – PC Scott Spedding
