British Airways Flight Declares Emergency Over Incapacitated Crew Member
A British Airways flight from Aberdeen to Heathrow sparked a full emergency this morning. Flight G-EUYW, an A320, declared a flight emergency shortly after 11:20am while mid-air.
Urgent Landing Prioritised at Heathrow
The plane was granted priority by London air traffic control to make an emergency landing back at Heathrow. The aircraft touched down safely just after midday and was immediately met by paramedics, Heathrow Fire Services, and the London Fire Brigade.
Emergency Crews Board Plane After Landing
Emergency services were seen boarding the aircraft following the landing. The incident reportedly involves an incapacitated crew member on board. An airport operations vehicle, “HAL Checker 1,” followed the flight as it was shadowed by emergency teams.
