Shock Murder in Skipton: Two Dead, Man Arrested
Police rushed to a house on Regent Crescent, Skipton, at 7.20am on Tuesday and made a grim discovery. Inside, they found the bodies of a man in his 60s and a woman in her 70s.
Man in 30s Held Over Double Tragedy
A man in his 30s, who knew the victims, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody as North Yorkshire officers continue their investigation.
Police Offer Reassurance and Seek Information
“Local residents will understandably be shocked to hear about this tragic incident,” said Detective Inspector Steve Menzies from the Major Investigation Team. “Although the investigation is at an early stage, a man has been arrested, and we are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.”
Family liaison officers are supporting those affected, while police carry out reassurance patrols in the area. Anyone with information is urged to come forward to help the ongoing probe.
