Tragedy on B5278: Man Dies in Range Rover Crash Near Haverthwaite
Emergency crews were scrambled to the B5278 near Haverthwaite on Saturday afternoon after a dark Range Rover veered off the road. The crash happened at 4.20pm as the vehicle was heading south towards Flookburgh.
One Dead, Three Hurt in Horror Smash
Four people were inside the Range Rover. Three were treated at the scene and rushed to Furness General Hospital in Barrow. Thankfully, their injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening.
Tragically, a man in his forties was given emergency care on site but later died from his injuries.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
The force’s Mobile Support Unit is investigating and working closely with the victims and their families.
