Man Stabbed to Death in Early Morning Knife Attack in Hayes
Police rushed to Melina Close, Hayes at 4.33am on Tuesday, 11 July following reports of a man acting erratically with a knife.
Officers arrived alongside London Ambulance Service but found a man in his 50s inside the property with a fatal stab wound to his neck.
Despite desperate efforts, the victim died at the scene.
31-Year-Old Arrested on Murder Suspicion
A 31-year-old man, known to the victim, was arrested on suspicion of murder. He was taken to hospital for assessment before being held in custody.
Police Investigation Ongoing
Detective Inspector Adam Guttridge of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command said:
“We are at the very early stages of our investigation and enquiries are underway to establish the full circumstances. A man is in custody and no other persons are sought by my team at this time. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family.”
