Police rushed to a stabbing at a residence on Hudson Close, E15, at 3:20pm on Tuesday, 19 April. Despite frantic efforts from paramedics and London’s Air Ambulance, a 20-year-old man was declared dead at the scene by 4:31pm.
Brutal Home Invasion Shocks Community
Detective Chief Inspector Kelly Allen revealed the suspect forced his way into the victim’s home, stabbing him multiple times. The attacker then fled on foot towards Park Grove and Chad Green. Witnesses describe the suspect as a black male dressed entirely in black.
“The attack was brutal, targeted and has devastated a family,” said DCI Allen. “I urge anyone who was near the area or has dash-cam footage to come forward. No detail is too small.”
Police Step Up Patrols After Shocking Murder
Detective Chief Superintendent Richard Tucker, overseeing policing in Newham, expressed his sorrow. “Another young life lost to senseless violence in east London. This will send shockwaves through our communities.”
He added: “The victim was attacked in the supposed safety of his own home. His family is grieving deeply. We’re increasing patrols in Plaistow to reassure locals and encourage anyone with concerns to speak to officers.”
