Woman in Her 80s Found Dead in Ilford Bath
Tragedy struck Rushden Gardens, Ilford, on Friday morning when police and paramedics discovered an elderly woman unconscious and not breathing in a bath.
Despite frantic efforts, the woman, in her 80s, was pronounced dead at 11:48am. A post-mortem will be carried out to determine the cause of death.
Man, 54, Arrested on Suspicion of Murder
Homicide detectives from Specialist Crime swiftly moved in. A 54-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
Reports confirm the man and the woman were known to each other. The woman’s family have been informed of the tragic news.
