Young Man Stabbed to Death in Greenwich
Tragedy struck at 5.11pm on Tuesday, 8 February when police were called to Lionel Road, Greenwich, following reports of a stabbing.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
Officers and London Ambulance paramedics found a man, believed to be in his early 20s, suffering from stab wounds. Despite immediate treatment at the scene and a rush to an east London hospital, he sadly died shortly afterwards.
Homicide Investigation Launched
His family have been informed and are receiving specialist support. The Met’s Specialist Crime Command homicide detectives have taken control of the investigation. No arrests have been made yet as police continue their inquiries.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
A crime scene remains in place at Lionel Road and is expected to stay for some time.
