Murder probe launched after stabbing in Birmingham
One man dead, another critical after attack
West Midlands Police have opened a murder investigation following a brutal stabbing at a property on Cadbury Drive, Birmingham, this afternoon. One man was found with fatal stab wounds and died at the scene just after 1pm, despite paramedics’ best efforts.
Another man was also stabbed and rushed to hospital in critical condition.
Offenders caught after high-speed police chase
The attackers fled the scene in a car, but police quickly tracked the vehicle using a helicopter to Chatham Road in Northfield. Armed officers stopped the car and arrested three suspects – two men and a woman – on suspicion of murder.
Targeted attack under investigation
Detectives say the investigation is in its early stages but initial evidence points to a targeted assault. The crime scene remains sealed off for forensic examinations while officers carry out house-to-house and CCTV enquiries.
