The van was seen driving on the wrong side of the road and speeding. The driver made a sudden U-turn and headed back towards the A610 roundabout. Despite wet road conditions, the vehicle continued to be driven recklessly.

The suspects were arrested on suspicion of motor vehicle theft and driving offences.
Detective Sergeant Franco Guddemi said: “This positive result was thanks to a great team effort and highlights our determination to keep people safe by stopping vehicles believed to be involved in criminality.
“Proactive policing of the roads is a vital component in combatting crime and we will continue to do everything in our power to pursue and catch those suspected to be involved in crime.”
