Chaos erupted at Nottingham McDonald’s in Angel Row just before 1am on 8 April 2022. Police rushed to the city centre fast-food joint after reports of a violent brawl.
Doormen Attacked Over Refused Entry
An 18-year-old man lashed out after being denied entry. He punched one doorman and bit another, sparking the disturbance.
Suspect Fights Police
Officers quickly arrested the suspect on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. But the trouble didn’t end there. While being shoved into a police van, the youth kicked three officers and tried to bite one of them on the hand.
Police Vow Tough Stance on Violence
Sergeant Laura Gooch from Nottinghamshire Police condemned the attacks. She said: “Security staff and police officers are there to keep the public safe and have the right to go about their duties without being assaulted. This is not just part of the job and this type of behaviour won’t be tolerated. As ever, we will take very robust action against anyone who engages in such appalling behaviour.”
The suspect remains in custody as police continue their inquiries.
