Woman Dies in Horror Birmingham Car and Bus Crash
A woman has tragically died and two men rushed to hospital after a nasty collision between a car and a bus in Birmingham.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
West Midlands Ambulance Service were called at 1.33am to Milston Close following reports of the crash. Three ambulances, two paramedic officers, the Hazardous Area Response Team, plus a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic attended the scene.
Woman Driver Dies at Scene, Two Men Hospitalised
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Upon arrival crews found four patients. The first, a woman who was the driver of the car, had sustained life-threatening injuries.
“Despite the best efforts of ambulance staff on scene, it became clear that nothing more could be done to save her and she was confirmed deceased at the scene.”
“The second and third patients, both male passengers in the car, were treated for injuries not believed to be life-threatening. They were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further checks.”
“The fourth, the bus driver, suffered minor injuries and was discharged at the scene after receiving self-care advice.”
Investigation Underway
Police are currently investigating the cause of the early morning smash. Locals are urged to avoid Milston Close while emergency services deal with the aftermath.
