Suspected Burglar Snapped Up After Edenbridge Leisure Centre Heist

A suspected thief is set to face court after hitting a leisure centre in Edenbridge. On Monday 13 January 2020, two bank cards were reportedly stolen from a staff room at Stangrove Park.

Swipe and Scam: Cards Used in Petrol Station Fraud

One of the stolen cards was allegedly used to fraudulently buy cigarettes at a petrol station on Station Road. The second card was also used in a failed attempt at the same spot.

Resident’s Quick Action Leads to Arrest

That same day, a local resident from Sunnyside caught a man trying to break into his home. Kent Police later arrested Shaun Moore, 28, of no fixed address, at Edenbridge railway station.

  • Charges: burglary, attempted burglary, fraud, and attempted fraud
  • Remanded in custody
  • Due in Medway Magistrates’ Court via video link on 15 January

Moore now faces the music after a dramatic day of crime and quick police action.
