Blaze Breaks Out at Smarden Property – Woman Treated for Smoke Inhalation

Kent Police were scrambled to Water Lane, Smarden, just before 8am on Monday 26 October 2020 after a fire broke out at a property entrance. Firefighters from Kent Fire and Rescue Service quickly put out the flames.

Woman Injured as Fire Causes Major Damage

A woman at the scene was treated for smoke inhalation. The blaze left extensive damage to the property, sparking an investigation.

Police Hunt Witnesses, Hastings Man Arrested

Officers are urging anyone who was in the area between 5am and 7am to come forward with information. A 21-year-old man from Hastings has been arrested but later released pending further enquiries.
