West Midlands Police have confirmed three 16-year-old boys are in custody following a shocking hammer attack on Monday afternoon. The violent incident unfolded at the junction of Rotherham Road and Holbrook Lane, where a teen was struck in the head.

The young victim was rushed to hospital suffering minor head injuries. Thankfully, police say the wounds are not life-threatening.

In an official statement, West Midlands Police said: “Following enquiries in the neighbourhood, three 16-year-old boys were arrested and remain in custody. We understand this incident will cause concern but want to reassure the public this was an isolated event with no wider threat.”
