West Midlands Police have confirmed three 16-year-old boys are in custody following a shocking hammer attack on Monday afternoon. The violent incident unfolded at the junction of Rotherham Road and Holbrook Lane, where a teen was struck in the head.
Victim Hospitalised with Minor Injuries
The young victim was rushed to hospital suffering minor head injuries. Thankfully, police say the wounds are not life-threatening.
Police Move Fast to Calm Fears
In an official statement, West Midlands Police said: “Following enquiries in the neighbourhood, three 16-year-old boys were arrested and remain in custody. We understand this incident will cause concern but want to reassure the public this was an isolated event with no wider threat.”
The force added they will ramp up patrols in the area throughout the day to keep residents safe and calm worries.
