Thief Snatches £450 Bike from Teen at Tram Stop

Between 8:30 and 9 a.m. on November 29, a brazen thief struck at the Wilkinson Street tram stop. A man made off with a mountain cross-country bike worth around £450, stolen from a 16-year-old victim.

Police Hunt Suspect with Released Photo

Officers have launched a full investigation and are now appealing to the public for help. A photo of the man they want to question has been released.

“This was an expensive bike, and the victim has been left extremely upset by the theft,” said police constable Sarah Gooch, leading the inquiry. “We are doing everything we can to find the person responsible for this crime. If you recognise the man in the images or are the man in the images, please contact us right away.”
