Cop Caught Chatting Up Woman with Cheeky ‘Gorgeous’ Texts and TV Bragging
Married Officer’s Lewd Twitter Messages Exposed
Bedfordshire Police officer Ryan Barnes couldn’t keep it professional. He sent a 32-year-old mum from Preston a photo of himself on Twitter, calling her “gorgeous” and urging her to watch him on Channel 4’s 24 Hours In Police Custody.
Barnes, 35 and married, even asked the woman to rate his looks, demanded her phone number, and pushed for a video call before dropping the bomb: “I’m a bit horny.”
Woman Furious, Posts Messages Online to Warn Others
The woman, who wished to stay anonymous, quickly ended the chat and exposed Barnes’ bold messages online.
She said, “I felt like I had to out him publicly because he could be messaging other women who might be intimidated by the fact he’s a senior police officer.”
“It seemed like he was trying to impress me by being a cop and boasting about his TV appearance. I even thought he was an impersonator—no real officer could be this stupid.”
Police Launch Probe, Officer Suspended
Barnes has been with Bedfordshire Police since 2009. Following a public complaint about his behaviour, he’s now suspended.
Assistant Chief Constable Sharn Basra confirmed: “The standards department is reviewing the material.”
