Man Hospitalised After Brutal High Street Alleyway Assault
A man and two women were viciously attacked in a High Street alleyway in the early hours of Sunday, 14 August 2022. The incident happened between 1.45am and 2.30am next to a busy public house.
Group Launches Sudden Attack
The trio were approached by a group of suspects and all three were assaulted. The man, who was targeted again while walking down High Street, suffered serious facial injuries and was taken to hospital. The two women escaped with minor injuries.
Suspects Described as White Men in 20s to 30s
- One man slim-built, with dark hair, wearing black sunglasses and a black t-shirt with yellow and red writing
- The other two in white t-shirts and grey shorts
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
PC Amber Davis, leading the investigation, said: “This was a violent attack that left a man in the hospital and two women with minor injuries. It is understood two people rode a motorcycle down the alleyway after the initial assault, and officers would like to speak with them.”
Anyone who saw the attack or has phone or dashcam footage is urged to come forward.
