Teen Stabbed in Kirkby Park Attack

Detectives are probing a shocking stabbing in Kirkby this afternoon, Tuesday 14 May. Just before 4pm, a 19-year-old was attacked from behind and stabbed in the neck and back at Mill Dam Park, Mill Lane.

The victim was found collapsed on the ground and later taken to a nearby address in Grasmere Gardens for help. Emergency crews treated him at the scene before rushing him to hospital. Thankfully, his injuries are serious but not life-threatening, and he is now in stable condition.

CCTV Footage Sought as Police Appeal for Witnesses

Police are scouring CCTV from the area and hunting for anyone who might have seen the brutal assault. Chief Inspector Peter Clark urged locals to come forward. “The circumstances are still unclear,” he said. “We need your information to catch those responsible.”

“Knife crime causes real fear. But with your help, we can make arrests, seize weapons, and educate people on the dangers of carrying knives.”
