Teen Shot in South West London – Police Hunt Witnesses
Detectives are scrambling for witnesses after a 16-year-old was shot in broad daylight on a busy London street. The terrifying incident unfolded just after midnight on Sunday, 2 September, at the junction of York Road and Usk Road in SW18.
16-Year-Old Hospitalised After Shooting
Police rushed to the scene at 12.45am and found the teenager with a gunshot wound. He was swiftly taken to a London hospital where his condition is reported as stable and not life-threatening. Thankfully, no arrests have been made so far.
Motive Still a Mystery, Police Say
At this early stage, officers have no solid leads on why the shooting happened. Detective Inspector Ed Facer from Trident and Area Command appealed for public help:
“This incident took place on a busy road and I am confident that someone saw something. I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw the incident or who has dashcam or personal footage of the moments before, during or following the shooting.”
