Man, 71, Attacked While Walking Dog in Horsham Fields

Sussex Police are hunting witnesses after a shocking assault in Horsham. A 71-year-old man was attacked while walking his dog in fields off Forest Road around 6:30pm on 8 September.

Victim Suffers Facial Injuries

The victim was left with facial injuries after being assaulted by an unknown man. The attacker reportedly struck him without warning during the evening stroll.

Police Describe Suspect and Appeal for Information

  • Suspect is about 5’9”, around 60 years old.
  • He has grey hair and a full beard.
  • At the time, he wore dark clothes, a blue denim hat, and a belt with three tool pouches.
  • He was accompanied by four Staffordshire Bull Terriers.

Authorities are urging anyone who saw the attack or the suspect beforehand to come forward immediately.

“We want to hear from anyone with information that could help identify the man responsible for this cowardly attack,” said a Sussex Police spokesperson.
