Teen Passenger Critically Injured as Ford Ka Flips on Barford Lane
Chaos on the roads last night in Alderbury as a red Ford Ka flipped on a bend, leaving a 15-year-old passenger seriously hurt. The crash happened just after 9.10pm on October 4th, sending shockwaves through the quiet village.
Serious Injuries After Car Leaves Road on Sharp Bend
The Ford Ka was heading from Alderbury towards Downton when it veered off the road on a tight left-hand bend along Barford Lane. The car then flipped over, wrecking the vehicle and causing serious injuries.
The 15-year-old front seat passenger was rushed to Southampton Hospital. They remain in critical but stable condition. The driver, a 17-year-old girl, and a second passenger suffered shoulder and leg injuries. Both were treated at Salisbury Hospital.
Road Closures and Police Appeal for Witnesses
Witherington Road was closed between Tunnel Hill junction and Barford Lane while officers investigated. The closure is expected to lift soon.
