Armed police were deployed to Pretoria Road, Canning Town after receiving reports of a man in possession of a handgun on Wednesday night.
Man Arrested and Firearm Seized
The incident occurred at around 8:20 pm, prompting a swift police response. Officers arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of possessing a firearm.
A suspected firearm was also seized at the scene.
No Injuries Reported
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed that no injuries were reported.
An investigation into the circumstances is ongoing,” the spokesperson added.
