Armed Police Tackle Rampaging Dog Terrorising Greenford Pedestrians!
Chaos on Queen’s Avenue as Dog Attacks
Armed officers from the Met Police’s elite SO19 unit rushed to Greenford on Sunday morning after reports of a dangerous dog attacking people. The drama unfolded around 11:00am on Queen’s Avenue, where the animal reportedly went on the rampage, causing panic among locals and passersby.
Dog Destroyed to Prevent Further Harm
A Met Police spokesman revealed the dog had already killed another dog by the time officers arrived. “We received the call at 10:39am on 14 January about a dog out of control on Queen’s Avenue,” the spokesman said.
“To stop any more serious injuries, officers made the grim decision to destroy the dog at the scene.”
Police Urge Calm and Caution
Residents are urged to stay alert and cautious while inquiries continue. The Met has also asked the public to refrain from sharing any footage of the incident, recognising how upsetting the event was for those involved.
“We know this will have been distressing for witnesses,” added the police spokesman. “Please respect their privacy and don’t circulate videos.”
Investigation Ongoing
The Met Police are continuing their probe into the incident and promised to provide updates as they come in. Meanwhile, locals should exercise care when out and about in Greenford.
