Burglaries Hit North Hampshire in Dead of Night
Hampshire Police warn residents to stay sharp after a spate of break-ins rocked the north side of the city. In the early hours of Saturday, May 4, thieves slipped into homes through unlocked ground-floor windows.
Three Break-Ins on Rochford Road and Old Wymering Lane
- One raid saw a handbag stolen containing a small amount of cash and two sets of headphones.
- The other two were attempted burglaries, luckily without any reported theft.
Police Urge Residents: Lock Up and Stay Alert
Officers are urging locals to secure windows, especially on the ground floor, to prevent further incidents. “Please shut your windows where possible,” the police statement emphasised.
If you noticed anyone acting suspiciously between midnight and 5:30am on Saturday, police want to hear from you.
