The blaze erupted just after 10:15pm on Wednesday, 22 October, between the Humber Bridge Waterski Club and Barrow Haven Viewpoint. Humberside Police confirmed the fire completely destroyed the peaceful spot that families and nature fans cherished.

A police spokesperson begged locals for any information. “Did anyone you know come home smelling of smoke that night? Did you see or hear anything unusual? Has anyone been talking about the fire?”
