A 15-year-old boy is fighting for his life in hospital after a shocking stabbing in Great Barr, Birmingham.
Teen Stabbed in Broad Daylight in Great Barr
Emergency crews rushed to Turnberry Park, just off Turnberry Road, shortly after 4pm on Monday, March 17, following reports of a stabbing.
Paramedics treated the teenager at the scene before racing him to hospital. His injuries are said to be serious, but no further updates on his condition have been released.
Heavy Police Presence as Investigation Kicks Off
Photos shared by the Great Barr Neighbourhood Forum show a swarm of emergency vehicles flooding the residential area. West Midlands Police launched an immediate investigation into the brutal attack.
“We are in the early stages of our investigation and would urge any witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch with us as soon as possible,” a police spokesperson said.
Patrols Increased as Locals React in Shock
The stabbing has rattled residents in this normally quiet neighbourhood. Police confirmed extra patrols would be out this evening to reassure the community.
Officers are calling on anyone who spotted anything suspicious or has CCTV or dashcam footage near the scene around the time of the stabbing to come forward.
