A heartbreaking tragedy struck on Sunday evening when a young boy was pulled from a canal in Wolverhampton but later died. Emergency services were called to Hendon Avenue, Ettingshall, at 6:01 pm. Ambulances arrived within minutes, joined by a paramedic officer, trauma doctor, and critical care paramedic.
Life-Saving Efforts End in Heartbreak
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “On arrival, crews found a boy pulled from the water by police colleagues in a critical condition. Officers had been giving basic life support before ambulance staff took over with advanced life support. Despite everyone’s best efforts, the child sadly could not be saved and was confirmed dead at the scene.”
