Police raced to Downham Way at 3:50pm on Wednesday after reports of two men armed with knives. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from stab wounds on the same street.
Victim Rushed to Hospital
The injured man was quickly taken to hospital. Thankfully, his wounds are not life-threatening, police confirmed.
One Arrest, Manhunt Underway
Officers arrested one man at the scene. But the hunt is on for the second suspect, who remains at large.
“Police were called to Downham Way, Bromley at about 3.50pm on Wednesday, 17 April following reports that two men had been seen with knives,” said a Metropolitan Police spokesperson.
“Officers and LAS attended the scene, and the man was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition has been assessed as not life-threatening. One man was arrested at the scene and has been taken into custody. Urgent enquiries are ongoing to trace a second suspect.”
