A black Audi with blackout windows crashed into a brick wall following a hard stop carried out by officers from the Metropolitan Police’s Violent Crime Reduction Unit in Tottenham late Tuesday evening.
The incident occurred shortly after 10 pm near the bus garage on Philip Lane. Witnesses reported that the vehicle collided with the wall after police attempted to stop it, though the reasons behind the stop are not yet clear.
Officers quickly detained the driver, and a search of the vehicle was conducted at the scene. As of now, the Metropolitan Police have not released an official statement regarding the nature of the stop or any further details surrounding the event.
The road was temporarily closed in both directions, causing minor disruptions to traffic. The investigation is ongoing.
