British Transport Police are on the hunt for a woman after a brutal assault on a school-aged girl at Balham railway station. At around 8am on Thursday 20 November, the girl was hit on the side of her head just as she passed through the ticket barrier. The violent blow caused her to slam her head on a nearby wall.
Heroic Witnesses Confront Attacker, But Suspect Escapes
Two passersby stepped in and challenged the woman, who responded with threats and hostility before fleeing the scene with the young girl. Witnesses were left shaken, prompting police to launch a full-blown investigation.
