A child has been taken to hospital following an incident that occurred yesterday morning in Woolwich. Emergency services were called to Ha Ha Road at the junction with Circular Way just before 11:30 AM on Sunday, June 16.
London Ambulance Service and an air ambulance responded to the scene and found two individuals, including a child, injured. Both were treated at the scene. The child was subsequently transported to a major trauma centre for further treatment. The condition of the child is currently unknown. The other individual did not require hospital treatment.
The exact nature of the incident remains unclear at this time. Metropolitan Police have been contacted for further information regarding the incident.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service provided the following statement: “We were called at 11:29 AM on Sunday, June 16, to reports of an incident at the junction of Ha Ha Road and Circular Way in Woolwich. We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an incident response officer, and London’s Air Ambulance. We treated two people at the scene, before taking a child to a major trauma centre by road for further treatment.
