Child Hospitalised After Dog Bite in Southend Park

A child was rushed to hospital after a dog attack in Southend Park, Sydenham, sparking a police probe and the seizure of the dog involved.

The alarm was raised at 3.37pm on Sunday, March 23, when emergency services were called to Southend’s popular public park following reports of a dog bite.

Metropolitan Police officers and London Ambulance Service paramedics arrived quickly. They treated the child at the scene before rushing them to hospital. Thankfully, the child’s injuries were confirmed as non-life-threatening, but the incident has shaken local families.
