Three Men Caught in Drugs Sting After Community Outcry

Sergeant Steve Holpin from the Medway Community Safety Unit acted fast after locals voiced their worries about rising anti-social behaviour and drug dealing.

Increased Patrols Lead to Rapid Arrests

Following a community meeting in August, police stepped up patrols in the area. Their efforts paid off on Sunday, 18 September, when they arrested three men suspected of possessing class B drugs with intent to supply.

Police Nab Trio After Vehicle Stop and Foot Chase

  • Officers stopped a vehicle on Pottery Road at around 1pm. Four men were inside.
  • A 19-year-old fled on foot but was quickly caught carrying cash, phones, and cannabis.
  • A search of a nearby address led to the arrest of two more men, aged 20 and 26, with drugs and evidence of dealing found on site.

All three suspects, from Hoo, have been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
