Drugs Blitz Hits Bestwood: Cannabis and Suspected Class A Busted in Twin Raids
Early Morning Raids Target Drug Activity
Police swooped on two Bestwood homes this morning (January 26) following tips about drug dealings. Officers seized cannabis, remnants of suspected Class A drugs, and weighing scales from both addresses. Drug-growing gear was found in one house, allegedly used to churn out illegal substances.
Operation Reacher Leads the Charge
The City North Operation Reacher team, backed by Radford and Gedling squads, led the raids as part of a week-long policing push running January 23–29. The action aims to clamp down on crime and reinforce community safety.
Sergeant Zoey Price Speaks Out
“We carry out regular proactive warrants based on intelligence from the public and other sources,” said Sergeant Zoey Price of Nottinghamshire Police’s City North Operation Reacher.
“Today’s raids targeted suspects involved in producing and supplying illegal drugs. We seized Class B substances and suspected Class A remnants from two premises.
“This approach lets us zero in on criminals, with the ultimate aim of bringing them to justice and making streets safer for local residents.”
Keeping Communities Safe
Operation Reacher remains a vital tool in neighbourhood policing, with officers focused on protecting those who live in the area and cracking down hard on drug crime.
