Cyclist Hurt in Early Morning Smash on Lewisham’s Baring Road
A cyclist was rushed to hospital after a collision with a car on Baring Road, Lewisham, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Crash Details and Emergency Response
Metropolitan Police were called to the scene just before 2am on 27 April following reports of a crash involving a cyclist and a car. Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended immediately. The cyclist was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. His condition remains under assessment, with police yet to confirm if injuries are life-threatening.
Driver Stops and Police Investigation Underway
The car driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with officers. No arrests have been made so far as inquiries continue into what caused the crash.
“We were called at 01:53hrs on Sunday, 27 April following reports of a collision involving a car and a cyclist in Baring Road, SE12.
Met officers attended alongside paramedics. The cyclist was treated for injuries and taken to hospital where his condition is being assessed.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene. There were no arrests.
Enquiries are ongoing and any witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting CAD649/27April.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Officers are urging anyone who saw the crash or captured footage on dashcam around the time to come forward and assist with the investigation.
