Man Found Dead in River Great Stour Sparks Mystery
Kent Police were called just after midday on Sunday, 16 October 2022, after a man was discovered lying unresponsive in a shallow part of the River Great Stour behind River Bend Close.
Emergency crews from South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene, but sadly the man, a local in his 30s, was pronounced dead on the spot.
Investigation Underway as Death Remains Unexplained
The man’s next of kin have been informed. Police are now investigating the circumstances surrounding his death, which is currently being treated as unexplained.
Witness Appeal: Two Men Seen Together the Day Before
Detectives are urgently asking anyone who was near the river between 3pm and 6pm on Saturday, 15 October, and saw two men together to come forward.
