Teen Brutally Attacked on Abington Street – Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

On Saturday, August 20, at around 4.30pm, an 18-year-old was viciously assaulted near Abington Street’s junction with Market Square.

Detective Chief Inspector Shelley Nichols revealed the victim was walking with his partner when the attack happened. He is now in a serious condition in hospital.

Police Launch Appeal for Witnesses and Culprit

DCI Nichols said: “We would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and may have witnessed what happened to please come forward and speak with our investigators.”

She added a direct message to the attacker: “I would also like to appeal to the person responsible for this assault to come forward.”
