Two Teens Arrested After Shocking Stabbing at London Park
Police have arrested two 16-year-old boys following a stabbing at Lordship Recreation Ground on Sunday, 1 August. The first teen was detained on Thursday, 5 August, and is currently receiving unrelated medical treatment in hospital. The second was arrested on Saturday, 7 August but has since been released on bail.
Teen Left Fighting for Life After Brutal Attack
The stabbing occurred just after 2pm, when officers and paramedics rushed to the scene. A 16-year-old boy was found with serious stab wounds and quickly taken to hospital. He remains in critical condition. His family is being supported by specially trained police officers during this traumatic time.
Police Hunt Witnesses to Crack Case
Detectives from the North Area Basic Command Unit are leading the investigation. They’ve recovered CCTV footage and taken statements from witnesses but stress they need the public’s help.
“While these arrests are an important step, we still need anyone who saw what happened to come forward,” said Detective Inspector Kelly Hodgson. “A young man is fighting for his life and his family deserves answers.”
“The Met is committed to tackling violence but can’t do it alone. We need the public’s support to find those responsible.”
