Shock Attack in Bloomsbury: Two Women Suffer Serious Head Injuries After Night Out
Violent Incident Rocks Early Hours in London
Police rushed to Great Russell Street, Bloomsbury in the early hours of Sunday, 30 October after the London Ambulance Service raised the alarm. At around 4am, officers found two women, aged 21 and 18, with serious head injuries.
Victims Hospitalised But Injuries Not Life-Threatening
Both women were taken to hospital. The older victim had a fractured skull while the younger suffered facial and head injuries. Thankfully, doctors have confirmed their injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing. A third woman present at the scene was unharmed.
Attack Follows Night Out – Suspects Still At Large
Investigations revealed the women had been at a club in Bloomsbury when a verbal row broke out with a man they met that night. The man threw a canister at the victims before fleeing. Police are hunting this suspect as well as another man who returned to retrieve the canister.
Detective Constable Alexandra Davies, Central North Command Unit, said: “This was an unacceptable attack on three women simply enjoying a night out. We are determined to tackle violence against women and girls and we are doing everything we can to identify the men pictured. I know members of the public will share our concern about this incident and will be keen to help us trace them.”
